The electric bike is 4 to 6 kg heavier than a “standard” bike and our O2feel bikes weigh around twenty kilos. The weight varies depending on the selected battery capacity, frame size, wheels, etc.: that’s why we can’t provide a standard weight. At O2feel we believe that comfort, geometry and inertia take priority over the bike’s weight which is compensated by electric assistance.
O2feel designs all its bikes at its offices in Wambrechies, near Lille, in the Hauts-de-France region.
Since March 2021, the company has repatriated part of its bikes’ assembly to the O2feel Factory where 30% of the range is assembled. The other assembly lines are located in Portugal. The medium term objective is to repatriate all models.
A bike is made up of 100 parts: first and foremost, our suppliers are European. Our frames are manufactured in Taiwan, the world leader in bike frame production. Finally, our motors are produced in Japan by Shimano, the world leader in bike components.
Using and accessorising my electric bike
Before starting your bike, check that your tyres have the correct pressure.
Then, press the On/Off button on your bike which is located by the battery or on the frame for electric mountain bikes/VERN.
Press and check that the handlebar display also lights up before getting on your bike.
Once lit up, adjust your saddle, choose your assistance mode (Eco, Normal or Boost) and head out to ride the roads.
The gears change mechanically with the gear shifter that is always on the right of the handlebars. The shifter can be rotating, trigger or lever.
On certain bike models, the gears change automatically: this system is called DI2.
The majority of O2feel bikes come with the MIK and MIK HD system. This technology lets you accessorise and makes cycling easier on a day-to-day basis. Attach and detach your bags in a few minutes. By selecting the MIK HD system, we give you the option to set it up to your taste.

Yes, every bike has an approved baggage rack capable of holding up to 27 kg and accommodating a baby seat. You can also use a baby seat with a MIK HD attachment.
Our mountain bikes are specially designed for sports use. This means that the addition of mudguards, baggage rack or any other accessory is not possible.
However, there are certain types of mudguards specifically for electric mountain biking. You can attach them to the saddle tube or directly on the fork with a clamping collar.
Maintaining and transporting my bike
Your electric bike should be serviced regularly. After 3 months’ use or 200 km, we recommend you:
Check the tyre pressure using a bicycle pump or pressure controller. Refer to the recommended tyre pressure stated on the tyre sidewall.
Check your chain’s tension. If it’s not tight enough then you might derail and damage your rear derailleur.
o For bikes with linear pull brakes, also called “V-Brake”, you can control the front and rear brake and adjust as needed. In case of doubt, visit your stockist.
o For bikes with disc brakes, we recommend you contact an approved O2feel stockist to carry out the checks.
Check that all the screws on the bike are tightened (front and rear wheel nuts, mudguard screws, stem, etc.). A badly fixed nut can cause a breakage that won’t be covered in your product warranty. If possible, carry out these few checks at your bike dealership.
N.B.: In the case of regular use, check the points mentioned frequently.
The electric part of your bike doesn’t require maintenance. During periods of prolonged downtime, ensure you remove the battery from its place and store it in a dry, dark place.
Firstly, you will need cloths (microfibre if possible), a pair of gloves, a degreasing product, water and a sponge.
You can clean your bike with or without water, however never wash it with a hosepipe or even with a high pressure gun.
Use a slightly damp sponge with a degreaser to clean the bike frame, tyres, handlebars, saddle, derailleur and cassette. Do not clean the brakes with a degreaser.
Dry and polish your bike with a microfibre cloth, oil the transmission elements: chain, derailleur, cassette, chainset. Use a bike lubricant and not grease.
Once again, be careful not to put lubricant or grease on the brakes.
- Always start by taking out your bike’s battery before any procedure.
- Wear gloves for protection and to avoid getting grease on your hands.
- Put the chain on the smallest sprocket (highest gear).
- Unscrew the rear wheel axle.
- Keep the derailleur towards the rear.
- Remove the wheel axle by pulling on the wheel.
- Then remove the wheel.
Be careful not to brake or touch the disc during dismantling as this could damage or unsettle your brakes.
In the first instance, you should remove the wheel.
Prepare the required equipment: gloves, a pair of tyre changers, bicycle pump, a new inner tube and a bit of “elbow grease”.
Here are the steps:
- Always start by taking out your bike’s battery before any procedure.
- Empty any remaining air using the valve.
- Insert the first tyre changer between the tyre sidewall (bead) and the rim so it comes out through the rim.
- Jam the tyre changer using a spoke.
- Insert the second tyre changer in the same way as the first.
- Once the tyre is out, just slide the second tyre changer around the rest of the rim taking out the tyre.
- Take out the inner tube and change it for a new one.
- Slightly inflate the new inner tube before insertion.
- Insert the new inner tube starting with the valve.
- Put the tyre back in the rim by hand starting opposite the valve.
- Insert the tyre making sure not to pinch the inner tube to avoid a new puncture.
- Press on the tyre to get it inside the rim.
- Once inside, press on the valve to check that there is no pinch and inflate the tyre with a pump.
- Inflate your tyre to the correct pressure (check the manufacturer’s recommendation on the tyre sidewall).
- Don’t forget the cap before putting your tyre back on the bike.
Be careful not to brake or touch the disc during dismantling and replacing the inner tube as this could damage or unsettle your brakes.
My bike battery
We recommend you choose a battery according to your needs, your trips and the area covered on a regular basis.
Terrain with ascending elevation and with a loose, rugged surface will require a substantial assistance motor and more battery power. In contrast, a journey in town on a flat surface such as tarmac requires a lot less motor assistance and power.
For example: If your daily journey goes something like bike, work, aperitif, bike and you pedal 20 km over the day, then a 432 Wh battery will easily last for 3 days (normal mode) before needing a charge.
Your bike’s battery life can be found on the web page dedicated to our batteries. However, your battery life can vary depending on several factors such as selected assistance mode or the terrain on which you’re riding. It’s also important to check the air pressure in your tyres on a regular basis (every month) as this can have a huge impact on your electric consumption.
If your battery is not used for an extended period, we recommend you:
– Remove the battery from the bike.
– Store the battery in a dry, dark place. Avoid variations in temperature, ideally between 10 and 20°C for better preservation.
– Charge your battery so it doesn’t stay inactive for an extended period. It’s important that it doesn’t go completely flat (shown by the red indicator light).
Finally, remember to fully charge the battery before use after an extended period of downtime.
In 4 simple steps, easily remove and replace your battery:
- Unlock the battery with your key;
- Depending on the battery:
a) If it’s a PowerPack battery, pull on your battery to remove it from its place;
b) If it’s a iPowerPack battery, press on the pushbutton switch under the frame and retrieve the battery
c) If it’s a iPowerFit battery, it automatically comes out when you unlock it;
- Put the battery back in place;
- Put it in place until you hear a safety click and lock it with your key.
There may be an extra safety step for bikes with an aluminium plate protecting your battery. In this case, unscrew the screw on the plate and release it to access the battery.
Commonly used to provide energy to recreational aircraft such as ULM, lithium polymer batteries have a significant battery life. They have a high energy density making them lightweight and therefore perfect for your bike.
My bike’s compliance and safety
Every O2feel electric bike comes with an approval certificate. This certificate is provided with every bike and conforms to decree 95-937 relating to the prevention of risks resulting from the use of bicycles.
Our bikes are inspected in a test laboratory and comply with French and European standards EN15194 (all electric bikes) and NFR30-050-1.
Our models are equipped with components from recognised brands and industry leader (Shimano, MIK, Schwalbe, Rockshox, etc.) who share our quality and safety requirements.
At O2feel, everything is set up to make our bikes safe. Big brands support us in the production of our electric bikes: Samsung, Shimano (all our technical partners) and our bikes are tested before launch. Our electric bikes are equipped with the best components then completed with optimal braking. O2feel recommends you wear a helmet for maximum safety.
To transport your bike in complete safety, we recommend an electric bike rack fitted on a coupling. It is important to know that the bike must not go more than 20 cm over your vehicle’s width. The bike rack must have a visible, working light and stop lights. A number plate must be clearly visible on the back of the vehicle.
It is also important to contact the bike rack manufacturer or refer to your instruction leaflet for the maximum authorised load.
According to European legislation, an electric bike can not go beyond 25 km/h. The assistance cuts out beyond this speed. However, you can cycle faster manually.
My bike’s warranty
Your bike’s frame is guaranteed for 5 years and the bike components are guaranteed for 2 years. The electric sections (motor, battery) are guaranteed for 2. The warranty covers manufacturing and material defects. Any improper use on your part that may cause bike degradation is not covered. Remember to register your electric bike online to activate the warranty.
Your bike’s serial number can be found in various places.
- On the head tube above your bike’s fork.
- On your chainset below your frame.
Repairs should be carried out by your stockist. If repairs are carried out by another dealership then you will need to cover the labour costs.

If your bike has a damaged part then visit your stockist who will advise you and order the part if required.
